Ring generalship as mentioned prior is basically controlling the Center of the ring, preferably pinning your opponent against the ropes all to disintegrate your foe. You could treat this as a cat and mouse scenario where you do not wish to be a mouse unless the Cat loses all of its instincts of course.

Alternatively, you can be the ring generalship by turning, using angles all to frustrate your opponent. This becomes a situation resembling a Bull and a Mandator where you would prefer to be the Matador as long as your legs and reflexes work. But of course like in boxing, do not let the bigger, stronger and more aggressive challenger find their luck. It could be your last.
